Complaints
Complaints provide an opportunity to improve operations.
The principal has an obligation to receive and investigate complaints.
Under Chapter 4, Section 8 of the Education Act, the principal of preschools/after-school programs/elementary schools must receive and investigate complaints about education. The principal for our operations is the board of the St. Thomas School Foundation. Please use the form provided on this page. You can send your complaint directly to stiftelsen@sanktthomasskola.se or leave it with the office or principal who will forward it to the board.
Consider this before submitting your complaint
Before reaching out to the principal/board, it’s a good idea to consider a few things:
● Have you talked to your child’s educators at the preschool/school/after-school program and given them a chance to find a solution to the situation?
● Have you contacted the principal or vice-principal, who leads the work and has overall responsibility for the operation?
● In order for us to investigate the complaint and get back to you, we need to know who you are and what the issue is. Therefore, we cannot handle anonymous complaints.
This is what happens with your complaint
Once the principal/board has received a complaint, they should confirm it, promptly conduct the investigation necessary to handle the complaint, and provide feedback to the person who submitted the complaint. This means that we will talk to the school management and the staff involved. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
